Cartier 18ct Santos Octagon, Santos

The Swiss Watch Co UK Ltd introduces this elegant Cartier Santos Octagon.

In 1901 the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont complained of his difficulty checking the time on his pocket watch while flying to his friend Louis Cartier. Three years later with his friend in mind Cartier revolutionised watchmaking by inventing the first purpose-designed modern wristwatch which has grown alongside the brand ever since.

Featuring a silvered dial with roman hour markers, blue sword style hands in a brushed stainless steel case and a striking polished gold octagonal bezel that surrounds the dial. The watch case is constructed from 18ct yellow gold and is fitted with an integrated style 18ct yellow gold link bracelet with golden screw detailing.

Originally purchased in the 1980s and in Fine condition, the watch comes supplied with the original red Cartier box and SWC authenticity card. This watch is in superb condition for its age, and hardly  been worn, only on special occasions.
