Since the brands inception in 1845 Lange has been producing time-keeping devices of the highest quality. In 1948 after the war, the company had ceased to exist as it was known, and it wasn’t until after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1990 that the brand was re-established by the great grandson of Ferdinand Adolphe Lange. It has since gone from strength to strength, building on its heritage from Glashütte emphasising quality and design in every piece. The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 collection is renowned for its distinctive off-centre dial design and exceptional craftsmanship, representing the pinnacle of German watchmaking elegance. Each timepiece in the collection features intricate complications and a highly detailed finish, embodying a blend of tradition and innovation.

This iteration of the Lange 1, reference 101.022 come set in the classic 38.5mm 18ct yellow gold case with smooth polished bezel. The silver dial off-centre dial features contrasting black printed Roman numeral hour indexes at 3/6/9/12 o'clock, with the traditional blued steel 'Alpha' hands and a running seconds sub dial at 5 o'clock sub-dial, as well as a double date aperture displayed at 1 o'clock. These wonderful details are protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass and powered by the Lange calibre L901.0 manual wind mechanism, which is visible through an exhibition caseback. Lastly, this Lange 1 is completed by a blue alligator strap, secured with an 18ct yellow gold Lange pin buckle.

Originally purchased in May 2001 and in mint condition following a full service with A Lange & Söhne in June 2024. Supplied with its original inner and outer boxes (inner showing signs of wear), 2024 service documentation and its original international guarantee booklet. 

This Lange 1 benefits from the coverage of its service warranty until June 2025, however it is also sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
