A feature of this timepiece is the use of internal parts made of silicon resulting in more lightweight internal components thus avoiding lubrication problems.The Balance spring moves at a frequency of 10 Hertz or 72,000 vibrations per hour, this high frequency gives the type XXII with exceptional regulating power, with it's chronograph seconds hand making a complete rotation in 30 seconds.
