The Royal Oak is considered to be the most popular watch that Audemars Piguet currently manufactures, and it was first introduced at the 1972 Baselworld watch fair. Designed by Gerald Genta, who is also responsible for designing other iconic timepieces, it is considered to be the first luxury sports watch. The watch takes inspiration from the portholes found on boats and features exposed screw heads as well as a unique case design and an integrated link bracelet. Well regarded and coveted around the globe for its assured and confident aesthetic the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak combines bold design choices with exquisite craftsmanship. 

This particular iteration of the Royal Oak, reference 26320OR.OO.D088CR.01 is crafted in a stunning 41mm 18ct pink gold case featuring the iconic Genta octagonal "porthole" bezel with 8 screws. This bezel nicely frames the silvered “Grande Tapisserie” dial, which is further embellished with a date aperture located between 4/5 o'clock and completed by triple chronograph sub-dials at 3/6/9. Powered by an in house automatic calibre 2385 chronograph movement which is protected by a solid 18ct rose gold caseback, with the watch presented on a black alligator strap with matching 18ct pink gold deployment clasp.

The watch was originally purchased in August 2013 and comes supplied in mint condition, with the original inner and outer boxes, instruction manual and guarantee booklet that contains the warranty authentication and registration certificate.
