The Royal Oak is considered to be the most popular watch that Audemars Piguet currently manufactures, and it was first introduced at the 1972 Baselworld watch fair. Designed by Gerald Genta, who is also responsible for designing other iconic timepieces, it is considered to be the first luxury sports watch. The watch takes inspiration from the portholes found on boats and features exposed screw heads as well as a unique case design and an integrated link bracelet. Well regarded and coveted around the globe for its assured and confident aesthetic the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak combines bold design choices with exquisite craftsmanship. 

This particular iteration of the Royal Oak, reference 26240ST.OO.1320ST.05 is crafted in a faceted 41mm stainless steel case featuring the iconic Genta octagonal "porthole" bezel with 8 screws. This bezel nicely frames the blue (Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50) “Grande Tapisserie” dial, which is further embellished by triple chronograph sub-dials at 3/6/9, as well as the classic date aperture at 4/5 o'clock. These details are protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass and powered by the automatic calibre 4401 flyback chronograph movement, which can be viewed through its exhibition caseback. Lastly, the watch is presented on the iconic integrated stainless steel bracelet with classic butterfly folding clasp.

Originally sold in 2025 and in as new mint condition, supplied as a full set with it original inner and outer boxes, warranty card holder and original international warranty card. 

This Royal Oak Chronograph benefits from the coverage of its AP extended warranty, until 2030.
