We are proud to present this iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Dual Time for sale in mint condition. 

In 1971 the famous watch designer Gerald Genta was set the challenge to design a stainless steel sports watch for the Italian markets which were suitable for any occasion, with the caveat being it was required for the following morning. Come morning Gerald had completed his designs for the Royal Oak, which he later articulates as 'the masterpiece of his career'. Often considered to be the first luxury sports watch, the Royal Oak was first introduced in 1972, at none other than the Baselworld watch fair. The watch was inspired by the portholes found on boats and features exposed screw heads, unique case design and an integral stainless steel link bracelet.

This iteration of the iconic Royal Oak, reference 25730ST.OO.0789ST.09, is presented in a refined 36mm stainless steel case paired with the legendary integrated link bracelet secured by an AP fold-over clasp. The watch features a striking silver ‘Grande Tapisserie’ dial, accented by applied luminous hour markers and white gold Royal Oak hands, offering excellent legibility with a touch of understated sophistication. Its thoughtfully arranged complications include a dual-time subdial at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 10 o’clock, and a date display at 2 o’clock, all protected beneath a flat glare-resistant sapphire crystal. Powering the watch is the automatic Calibre 2229/2845, providing dependable dual-time functionality with a 38-hour power reserve, while the solid stainless steel caseback reinforces its durability and ensures a water resistance of 5atm (50m/165ft).

Originally purchased in October 2004 and in mint condition following a full service with AP in July 2025. Supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, original purchase valuation (2004), instruction booklet, AP service documentation (July 2025) and international warranty booklet.
