The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore was introduced in 1993 as a bold evolution of the original Royal Oak, which debuted in 1972. Designed by Emmanuel Gueit, the Offshore pushed the boundaries of luxury watchmaking with its oversized case, rugged aesthetics, and sporty appeal. Nicknamed “The Beast” upon its release, it challenged traditional notions of high-end timepieces and was initially met with skepticism. However, its daring design quickly gained a following, establishing the Offshore as a symbol of modern luxury and innovation within the Audemars Piguet legacy.

This version the reference 26401RO.OO.A002CA.02 was launched in 2013 (now discontinued) and is immediately recognizable due to its dramatic black octagonal bezel, which in this instance is crafted from ceramic and secured by eight hexagonal screws into the 44mm solid 18ct rose gold case. The rich black "Mega Tapisserie" textured dial features 18ct rose gold edged luminous hour markers and Royal Oak hands, as well as the date aperture at 3 o’clock and black triple sub-dials at 12/9/6 for the chronograph functions. These details are protected by a flat sapphire crystal and powered by the AP calibre AP3126/3840 automatic movement that can be admired through the exhibition case back, the watch is fitted with the original black rubber strap and AP branded 18ct rose gold pin buckle.

Originally purchased in June 2021 and in mint condition, this Royal Oak Offshore comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction manual, guarantee manual, watch care card and international warranty card.
