We are proud to present this iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Boutique edition for sale in mint condition. 

In 1971 the famous watch designer Gerald Genta was set the challenge to design a stainless steel sports watch for the Italian markets which were suitable for any occasion, with the caveat being it was required for the following morning. Come morning Gerald had completed his designs for the Royal Oak, which he later articulates as 'the masterpiece of his career'. Often considered to be the first luxury sports watch, the Royal Oak was first introduced in 1972, at none other than the Baselworld watch fair. The watch was inspired by the portholes found on boats and features exposed screw heads, unique case design and an integral stainless steel link bracelet.

This distinctive 'Mini Jumbo' iteration of the legendary Royal Oak, reference 14700SA.OO.0789SA.01, is presented in a 36 mm two-tone stainless-steel and 18-carat yellow-gold case, paired with the iconic integrated steel-and-gold link bracelet and secured by the classic AP folding clasp. The watch showcases a slate grey ‘Tapisserie’ dial, complemented by applied yellow-gold hour markers and matching Royal Oak hands with luminous accents for enhanced legibility. A discreet date aperture sits at 3 o’clock, with the dial protected by a flat glare-resistant sapphire crystal. Powered by the reliable automatic Audemars Piguet calibre 2125, this elegant two-tone Royal Oak delivers precise performance and is water-resistant to 10atm (100m/330ft).

Originally purchased in December 1992 and in mint condition for its age, supplied with its original inner box, instruction booklet, AP service documentation (July 2010 / June 2015) and original international warranty booklet.
