Martin-Baker is a British aviation company responsible for supplying 70% of the world’s air-forces with fighter ejection seat technology. The watch had to withstand the same rigorous testing programme as the ejection seats themselves including Live Ejection Testing, MFOS Crashworthy Testing, Extreme Temperature Endurance, Vibration Testing, Altitude Testing and Aircraft Carrier Deck Testing. This Bremont Martin Baker MBII being the end result of a collaboration between these fantastic British manufacturers and began back in 2009 when Martin Baker tasked Bremont to create a wrist watch that could withstand the same tests and rigorous simulations that an ejection seat goes through.

It has an unusual design coming set in a 43mm hardened stainless steel Trip-Tick case with the rarely seen brown knurled aluminium barrel, created to complement the stainless steel case. Housed beneath the domed anti reflective sapphire crystal glass is a black dial set with Superluminova coated numerals and hands, with an interesting bumblebee coloured counterweight for the running seconds hand inspired by Martin Baker ejector seat release handles. Powered by the Bremont modified Calibre 11 1/2" BE-36AE automatic chronometer movement which is protected by a closed caseback allowing for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft).

Featuring quirky design detailing and impressive craftsmanship, this MBII was originally purchased in May 2021 and is supplied in mint condition. Sold as a complete set with original outer box, leather saddle pouch, instructions, chronometer certificate, adjustment tool and international warranty certificate.
