The Bremont U-2 was introduced in 2010 as a military-grade pilot’s watch, developed in close collaboration with elite units of the British Royal Air Force. Its design and durability were directly influenced by the needs of U-2 spy plane pilots, who operate in extreme conditions at altitudes above 70,000 feet. Flight-tested to the same rigorous standards as Bremont’s earlier MB series—created in partnership with Martin-Baker, the ejection seat manufacturer—the U-2 offered unmatched resilience, legibility, and precision. With its robust construction, anti-magnetic and anti-shock properties, and distinctive military styling, the U-2 quickly became a symbol of Bremont’s commitment to aviation heritage and technical excellence.

This iteration, reference U‑2/51‑JET is a stealth-inspired pilot’s chronometer released in early 2018, paying tribute to both the RAF’s iconic 100 Squadron and high-altitude spy-plane missions. Featuring a 43 mm DLC‑coated Trip‑Tick® case, tinted “smoked” sapphire exhibition caseback, vintage-style “51” lume (borrowed from the P‑51 Mustang model), and heat‑treated blued-steel hands, it merges aero‑military aesthetics with tough-as‑nails performance. Driving the watch is the COSC‑certified BE‑36AE automatic calibre (a modified ETA 2836‑2 sans day display), the U‑2/51‑JET is flight‑tested to 80,000 ft and –50 °C, making it arguably Bremont’s stealthiest, most rugged U‑2 yet.

Originally purchased in December 2018 and in mint condition, supplied as a full set with its original outer box and leather satchel, additional Bremont black leather Nato strap, additional generic black leather Nato strap, strap change tool, instruction booklet, COSC certificate, warranty booklet and international warranty card/page.
