First conceived in the late 1950s as the Ovale Cintré and renamed Baignoire in 1973, the collection has long represented Cartier’s mastery of sculptural elegance. The signature elongated oval case – curved, feminine, and unmistakably Parisian – has become one of the maison’s most iconic silhouettes. Loved by collectors for its purity of line and timeless refinement, the Baignoire continues to embody the very essence of Cartier chic.

This contemporary interpretation remains faithful to the spirit of the original. The watch is set in a 23 x 31 mm 18k yellow gold case, complete with the classic beaded crown topped with a sapphire cabochon. The silvered dial features Cartier’s traditional black Roman numerals and blued-steel hands, all protected under a sapphire crystal glass.

It comes fitted with a black crocodile leather strap and a matching 18k yellow gold ardillon buckle, completing the understated, jewellery-like presence the Baignoire is known for.

Originally purchased circa 1990, this example is supplied with its original Cartier presentation box and a Cartier service receipt dated November 2025, confirming recent attention.
