In 1989 the watchmakers at the Cartier workshop in the USA went about remodelling the original Cartier Tank for American audiences, the new watch features an elongated case with a more pronounced curve than the original model. It playfully updates the geometry of the lines, retaining the rectangular form while alternating between round edges and angles. 

This iteration of the Tank Américaine, the 1710 is a beautiful and elegantly crafted ladies timepiece which comes set in a polished 19mm x 34.5mm 18ct yellow gold diamond set case. The dial is the classic white/cream colour with printed black lacquered Roman numeral hour markers and the iconic blued steel hands. The details are protected by a curved sapphire crystal glass and powered by a Swiss quartz mechanism. Lastly, the watch comes fitted with a gorgeous burgundy alligator strap with a matching 18ct yellow gold deployment clasp. 

Originally produced circa 2000 and in mint condition for its age, supplied with a red Cartier box, our authenticity card and a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
