We are proud to present this exceptional Cartier Santos de Cartier Large Model, reference WGSA0018, crafted entirely in 18ct rose gold and offered in mint condition.

The Santos is one of the most historically important wristwatches ever created. In 1904, Louis Cartier designed the original Santos for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, enabling him to read the time while flying. With its square case, exposed screws, and bold Roman numerals, the Santos became one of the first purpose-built wristwatches and has remained an icon of design ever since.

This contemporary Large Model is housed in a 39.8mm 18ct rose gold case with a slim profile of just 9.38mm, preserving both elegance and everyday comfort. The rounded square case is complemented by a matching rose gold bezel secured by the signature Santos screws. The silvered opaline dial features black Roman numerals, a chemin de fer minute track and blued-steel sword-shaped hands. A square sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the 7-sided rose gold crown is set with a faceted blue sapphire.

Powering the watch is Cartier’s in-house calibre 1847 MC automatic movement, delivering reliable self-winding performance and protected by a solid rose gold caseback. Water resistance is rated to 10 bar (100 metres).

The watch is presented on a full 18ct rose gold bracelet equipped with the SmartLink adjustment system and secured by a rose gold folding clasp. Both the bracelet and strap system benefit from Cartier’s QuickSwitch interchangeability feature. In addition to the gold bracelet, the watch is supplied with its original brown alligator strap with rose gold clasp, as well as additional black, dark blue, and dark grey alligator straps, offering exceptional versatility.

Originally purchased in August 2023, this example remains in mint condition and is supplied with its inner and outer Cartier presentation boxes, original purchase receipt, warranty card, Cartier care booklet and adjustment tool.
