We are proud to present this stylish Cartier Santos de Cartier unworn watch for sale.

Some may not know this, but the Santos was the first collection ever produced by Mr Louis Cartier in 1904 (13 years before the Tank!). Stemming from his relationship with his aviator friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, who often complained that he needed a legible watch which he could wear on the wrist due to his need for the use of both hands whilst flying. Cartier then designed the original Santos to be not only elegant and functional, but above all legible; hence succeeding in creating the first wristwatch for men. 

This version of the Santos, reference W2SA0009 comes set in a contemporary 39.8mm stainless steel curved case, which is 9.38mm thick giving it a slim profile on the wrist. The bezel is crafted from polished 18ct yellow gold and features the iconic Santos screws. The dial is a silver opaline with black printed Roman numerals, train-track minute markers, blued sword hands and a date feature at 6 o’clock. It is fitted with a convex sapphire crystal glass and the crown features a blue spinel cabochon. It comes fitted on a matching brushed stainless steel bracelet with polished 18ct yellow screws, concealed butterfly clasp and ‘quick-switch' bracelet system. It is powered by the in-house Cartier calibre 1847MC automatic self-winding movement; protected by an 8 screw case back for water resistance of up to 10atm (100m/330ft).

Originally purchased in August 2022 and in unworn condition, this Santos comes with its original inner & outer boxes, instruction booklet, additional brown leather strap, strap changing tool, stainless steel deployment clasp and international warranty card. Please note the warranty on this watch can be extended to August 2030 if activated with Cartier.
