Cartier Santos de Cartier, WSSA0039

We are proud to present this stylish Cartier Santos de Cartier for sale in mint condition. 

Some may not know this, but the Santos was the first collection ever produced by Mr Louis Cartier in 1904 (13 years before the Tank!). Stemming from his relationship with his aviator friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, who often complained that he needed a legible watch which he could wear on the wrist due to his need for the use of both hands whilst flying. Cartier then designed the original Santos to be not only elegant and functional, but above all legible; hence succeeding in creating the first wristwatch for men. 

This reference the WSSA0039 Santos is set in a contemporary 39.8mm black ADLC stainless steel curved case, which is 9.38mm thick giving it a slim profile on the wrist. The bezel also has a black ADLC coating, giving it a greater contrast to the case and featuring the iconic Santos screws. The dial is a satin-brushed black with full white printed Roman numerals, white contrasting train-track minute markers and a date feature at 6 o’clock. It is fitted with a convex sapphire crystal glass and the crown features a black spinel cabochon. It comes fitted on a matching black rubber strap with folding deployment clasp and ‘quick-switch system. Lastly, its powered by the in-house Cartier calibre 1847MC automatic self-winding movement; protected by an 8 screw case back for water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft).

Originally purchased in August 2024 and in mint condition, supplied as a full and complete set with everything it was originally sold with, including its original inner & outer boxes, instruction booklet, Cartier care booklet,  additional unworn black alligator strap, strap changing tool and international warranty card.

This Santos benefits from the coverage of its Cartier extended warranty until August 2032.
