Introduced in 2013, the Big Bang Unico marked a major milestone for Hublot with the launch of its in-house UNICO chronograph movement. The name “Unico” reflects the brand’s commitment to vertical integration, combining innovative design with cutting-edge engineering - including expertise inherited from the former BNB Concepts manufacture. The result is a highly technical flyback chronograph housed within one of the most recognisable case designs in modern watchmaking.

This example features a commanding 45mm titanium case, paired with an anodized black aluminium lower bezel secured by six signature H-shaped titanium screws. The black skeleton dial reveals the mechanical complexity beneath, displaying two chronograph sub-dials along with rhodium-plated hands and hour markers coated in luminescent material for enhanced legibility. Both the dial and the open caseback are protected by sapphire crystal.

At its heart is the HUB1242 UNICO manufacture self-winding flyback chronograph movement, complete with column wheel architecture and an impressive 72-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, ensuring everyday versatility despite its high-performance focus.

The watch is presented on a black structured rubber strap with deployment clasp, maintaining the industrial-sport aesthetic that defines the Big Bang collection.

Originally purchased in August 2015, this example remains in fine condition and was serviced by Hublot in November 2017 (service invoice included). It is supplied with its inner and outer boxes (noting some deterioration to the interior of the inner box), warranty card, USB card reader, and service invoice.
