We are proud to present this iconic IWC Pilot's Chronograph 41mm for sale in unworn condition.
Crafted in adherence to military specifications, the Pilots series of watches has achieved a revered cult status that eludes most timepieces. IWC's inaugural purpose-built pilot's watch debuted in 1936, marking the inception of a legacy that would later be solidified with the MOD commissioned Mark X nearly a decade later; the official commencement of the Mark series. This timepiece was meticulously designed to meet stringent military requirements, emphasizing robustness and a clear dial layout. The enduring appeal of the collection lies in its simplistic and legible design, a characteristic that has become a hallmark across the entire range. This timeless aesthetic has resonated with aviation and military enthusiasts, contributing to the enduring success and longevity of the Pilots series.
This version of the Pilot's Chronograph, reference IW388101 comes in an ergonomic brushed 41mm stainless steel case complete with smooth polished bezel. The dial, adorned in a captivating blue sunburst hue, showcases prominent luminous Arab numerals and dagger hands for optimal visibility. Enhancing functionality, the dial incorporates a legible white day/date aperture at 3 o'clock, complemented by triple chronograph sub-dials at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock; all shielded by a domed sapphire crystal glass. Driving the watch is the automatic IWC calibre 69385 chronograph movement, which can be admired through the exhibition caseback. To complete the ensemble, a dark blue calf leather strap with EASX-Change shoulders and clasp, adding a refined finishing touch.
