Since the birth of the Portugieser in 1939, the watch has firmly established itself as a symbol of classic elegance and precision horology. Originally crafted at the request of Portuguese sailors seeking a highly accurate and reliable marine chronometer. Over its 80+ years of production the Portugieser has evolved into a timeless masterpiece that seamlessly blends sophisticated design with cutting-edge watchmaking technology. Characterized by its clean, minimalist aesthetic and oversized yet balanced dials, the Portugieser collection pays homage to the brand's maritime heritage while embodying the essence of timeless style and impeccable craftsmanship.

This version of the Portugieser, reference IW371615 comes set in a polished 41mm stainless steel case with an elegant matching polished bezel. The stunning green sunburst dial features applied polished Arab numeral hour markers, steel ‘leaf’ hands and twin sub-dials at 12 and 6 o’clock for the running second hand and 30 minute timer. These details are protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass, with the 3atm (30m/100ft) water resistance ensured by the polished push/pull crown. Powering this Portugieser is the automatic calibre 69355 chronograph movement which is visible through a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Lastly, the watch comes fitted on a black alligator strap secured by a matching stainless steel IWC deployment clasp.

Originally purchased in May 2021 and in mint - as new condition, this IWC comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, cleaning cloth and international warranty card.

The manufacturers warranty on this piece has been extended until May 2029.
