First introduced in 1958 the first International Geophysical Year where 67 nations collaborated for scientific exploration and research of the most inhospitable parts of the earth. It was also the 125th anniversary of Jaeger LeCoultre and to mark the collaboration, the brand created the most durable and precise watch in the world – the 1958 Geophysic. The watch collection has since acquired a cult status with professionals in the field of science and research.

This version the reference 8008520 was released in 2014 and is a limited edition of just 800 pieces. It comes set in a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a smooth polished bezel. The dial is a crisp polar white colour with applied numerals at 3/6/9 and slim batons for the rest, a cross-hair pattern and luminous sword hands and dot hour markers on the inner engraved bezel all give the watch a clean and legible aesthetic. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal glass and the watch is powered by the Jaeger calibre 898/1 chronometer certified movement. The watch comes fitted on a calf leather strap with a choice of 4 different colours to choose from.

Originally purchased in November 2014 and in mint condition, this Geophysic comes with its original inner & outer boxes, JLC loupe, instruction booklet, chronometer/limited edition certificate and its original warranty certificate.
