The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris is a modern reinterpretation of a historic dive watch first introduced in 1968. Rooted in the adventurous spirit of the 1960s, the original Polaris was designed as a diver’s alarm watch, featuring a mechanical alarm system that alerted divers of elapsed time underwater. It became famous for its unique "Memovox" function, a distinctive hallmark of Jaeger-LeCoultre. Over the years, the Polaris evolved from a utilitarian tool to an iconic luxury sports watch, blending vintage design elements with contemporary craftsmanship. Today, the Polaris collection continues to embody both heritage and innovation.

This iteration of the Polaris chronograph, reference Q902843J comes set in a 42mm stainless steel case with a smooth polished bezel. Its grey lacquered dial is crafted through a process of applying almost 40 layers of varnish followed by coloured and then transparent lacquer, before the final step: polishing. The dial also features an internal opaline bezel with Tachymetre scale, contrasting black subdials at 3/9 o'clock, luminous indexes and matching bâton squelleté hands. These details are protected by a raised sapphire crystal glass and powered by the JLC calibre 761 chronograph movement, which can be viewed through its exhibition caseback. Lastly, the watch is completed by a beige canvas / leather strap and secured by a polished butterfly folding deployment clasp. 

Originally sold in October 2023 and in mint as new condition, supplied as a full and complete set with everything it was originally sold with. This includes its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, swing tag, spare black rubber strap and original international warranty card. 

This Polaris benefits from the coverage of its extended JLC warranty until October 2031.
