Few watches carry the design significance of the Reverso. Created in the early 1930s for polo players who needed to protect their watch crystals during play, the Reverso quickly grew beyond its sporting roots and became one of the most recognisable rectangular watches ever made. Its swivelling case, elegant Art Deco lines, and unmistakable profile have made it a cornerstone of fine watchmaking for generations.

Its silver guilloché dial features painted Arabic numeral hour markers, thermally blued steel hands, a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 4 o’clock, a date display at 7 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at 10 o’clock. The layout is beautifully balanced and highly characteristic of the Reverso’s refined, architectural design language.

Powering the watch is a manual-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre with twin mainspring barrels, delivering an impressive 8-day power reserve. The movement is executed with rhodium plating and decorated with fausses côtes, and is visible through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback, offering an unimpeded view of the mechanical architecture within.

The watch is fitted to a brown alligator leather strap, secured by a matching 18ct yellow gold deployment clasp, completing the warm and elegant character of the piece.

Dating to circa 2009, this gold Reverso is supplied with its inner and outer boxes, original Certificate de Garantie, it is blank, booklet and service papers confirming a full manufacture service completed in 2025.
