The Omega De Ville, introduced in 1967, represents a distinct departure from Omega's sportier lines, emphasizing elegance and sophistication. Originally conceived as a range within the Seamaster series, the De Ville evolved into an independent collection, showcasing Omega's commitment to refined design and precision. Over the years, the De Ville has been a canvas for innovation, featuring various movements, including the Co-Axial escapement developed by George Daniels. Its timepieces have ranged from classic dress watches to contemporary models, consistently reflecting a harmonious blend of timeless aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. The Omega De Ville stands as a testament to the brand's versatility, catering to those seeking a watch that seamlessly combines style with horological excellence.

This version of the De Ville, reference 424.23.40.20.02.002, comes set in a 39.5mm polished stainless steel case with an opulent 18ct yellow gold smooth polished bezel. The silver opaline dial features a blend of applied 18ct yellow gold Roman numeral and stud indexes with matching hands, and a date aperture at 6'clock. These details are safeguarded by a flat sapphire crystal and powered by the automatic calibre 2500 chronometer movement, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Lastly, the watch is completed by a brown alligator strap with polished steel pin buckle. 

Originally sold in December 2022 and in fine condition due to small signs of wear throughout. Supplied as a full set with its original Omega inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, pictogram, Master chronometer and international warranty cards.
