We are proud to present this 70th Anniversary Omega Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition for sale in mint condition.
The Seamaster is the longest running collection in the entire history of the prestigious Omega brand, being in constant production since 1948. Although originally given to their dress watches to indicate better water resistance than other models, Omega soon began to develop their more serious tool watches and diving models. In 1957 the infamous trio of the Seamaster 300, Railmaster & Speedmaster were born and spawned some of the most successful years in the history of the company.
This version of the infamous Seamaster, is the 70th anniversary model which pays tribute to the very first Seamaster models of 1948 and as such was only made in 1948 pieces. This unique Limited Edition timepiece has remained true to the original post-war design, while introducing some very 21st century technology. For instance it comes set in a stainless steel 38mm case and features an silver opaline dial with Dauphine style hour/minute hands, applied matching indexes, 12/3/6/9 Arab numerals and a vintage OMEGA logo all in 18K white gold. The watch is powered by the automatic calibre 8806 master chronometer movement which can be seen through the commemorative exhibition caseback. This features a laser-engraved and hand lacquered 70th Anniversary logo, a Chris-Craft boat and Gloster Meteor aircraft in tribute to the aviators and mariners who all placed their trust in Omega's timepieces during World War II. Lastly this Seamaster is completed by a grey/blue nato strap with Omega pin buckle.
Originally sold in June 2019 and in mint condition, this Limited Edition comes with its original commemorative inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, strap changing instructions, commemorative strap change tool, additional grey anniversary Nato strap, tan leather strap, limited edition leaflet, original purchase invoice, master chronometer, pictogram and international warranty cards.
This 70th Anniversary model benefits from the coverage of its Omega international warranty until June 2024.
