Since its debut in 1948, this distinguished collection has not only adorned the wrists of discerning individuals but has also accompanied explorers and adventurers into the depths of the ocean. The Omega Seamaster 300 released in 1957 was, in the words of an advertisement for the watch, “specially designed for professional and amateur divers.” Its water resistance was guaranteed to a depth of 200 metres. The watch was known as the 300 because its performance was far beyond the capacities of the testing devices of the time, a result of the high resistance of the crystal and the crown. The Omega 300’s rotating bezel made it possible for divers to keep track of the exact time of the duration of their dives, subsequently captivating divers of the time and cementing its place as one of the most iconic luxury dive watches ever created. 

This iteration of the Seamaster 300, reference 233.32.41.21.01.002 comes set in a brushed/polished 41mm stainless steel case with a glossy black ceramic uni-rotational bezel with contrasting silver dive graduations. The sand-blasted black dial features cut-out triangle hour markers filled with special ‘aged’ Superluminova luminous, third Arab numerals and hands edged in rhodium plate to prevent tarnishing. These details are protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and powered by the automatic calibre 8400 Chronometer movement which is visible through an exhibition caseback. Lastly, the 30atm (300m/1000ft) water resistance is ensured by a screwdown caseback, with the watch completed by a supple light brown leather strap with cream stitching and deployment clasp.

Originally sold in February 2021 and in fine condition with small marks throughout, supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction manual, swing tag, cream leatherette, pictogram and international warranty card.
