The Seamaster Planet Ocean collection represents Omega’s modern interpretation of a professional dive watch, built upon decades of maritime heritage. Designed to meet the demanding standards of professional divers, the Planet Ocean combines exceptional water resistance, technical robustness, and unmistakable design cues, making it one of Omega’s most respected tool watches.

This early-generation Planet Ocean is housed in a 45.5mm stainless steel case and fitted with the signature black unidirectional aluminium bezel, featuring a contrasting silver diving scale. The black dial offers excellent legibility, with applied luminous hour markers, matching hands, and bold Arabic numerals at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. A discreet date window at 3 o’clock completes the layout.

Protected by a domed sapphire crystal, the watch features a screw-down crown and delivers an impressive 600 metres (2000 feet) of water resistance, underlining its professional dive-watch credentials. Inside beats the Omega calibre 2500, an automatic chronometer-rated movement known for its reliability and early use of the Co-Axial escapement. The movement is secured beneath a solid screw-down caseback embossed with the Seamaster hippocampus emblem.

This example is fitted with a black Omega leather strap, offering a more understated and versatile look compared to the original bracelet. The watch remains in fine condition, with some visible imperfections to the bezel, consistent with careful use.

Originally purchased in October 2005, this Planet Ocean is supplied with its international warranty card only and is sold with our 12-month warranty.
