The Omega Seamaster 300 released in 1957 was, in the words of an advertisement for the watch, “specially designed for professional and amateur divers.” Its water resistance was guaranteed to a depth of 200 metres. The watch was known as the 300 because its performance was far beyond the capacities of the testing devices of the time, a result of the high resistance of the crystal and the crown. The Omega 300’s rotating bezel made it possible for divers to keep track of the exact time of the duration of their dives. The caseback featured the now-iconic Seahorse medallion, where it has graced the backs of Seamasters and Speedmasters ever since.

This version the reference 2552.20.00 was produced from 1993 - 1996 comes set in a robust brushed finish 36mm stainless steel case. It features a uni-rotational polished dive bezel and a crisp white wave embossed dial with luminous dot hour markers and cut out hands with luminous tips (alternative to the black versions). The dial features a date aperture at 3 o’clock and has the Chronometer line in addition to its 300M water resistance printed on the dial. It is powered by the Omega calibre 1120 automatic self-winding mechanism and fitted on a matching steel bracelet with folding clasp and dive extension.

Originally purchased in October 1996 and in fine condition due to marks on the bezel insert, this Omega comes with its original inner and outer Omega boxes, service centre booklet, chronometer booklet, chronometer certificate, Watches of Switzerland guarantee card, 2022 service documentation and international warranty card. This watch was serviced in July 2022 and benefits from being covered under it's Omega service warranty until July 2024.
