We are proud to present this illustrious Omega Speedmaster '57 Chronograph for sale in unworn condition.
Since its introduction in 1957, the Omega Speedmaster Chronograph has been characterized by its precision timing and clean, legible dial. Chronographs were originally built and advertised as tools for engineers, technicians, doctors and athletes – a way of keeping seconds, much like a stopwatch – which made them less appealing as men’s casual wear. However, these qualities made the Speedmaster the perfect watch for marking some of mankind’s greatest achievements – including the first successful trip to the Moon.
This particular version of the Speedmaster, reference 318.104.22.168.03.001 is based on the original “Broad Arrow” Speedmaster which was launched in 1957, which was not just the first Speedmaster, but also the first chronograph in the world to feature a tachymeter scale on the bezel as opposed to printed on the dial. This iteration features a 2 register blue sunburst dial with applied baton indexes and 'Broad Arrow' hands filled with Super LumiNova. The dial is completed with a date aperture at 6 o'clock and protected by a sapphire crystal glass. The watch is powered by the manually wound calibre 9906 chronometer movement which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Finally the watch is completed by the classic brushed/polished flat link bracelet with folding clasp complete with Omega's comfort release adjustment system.
Originally purchased in 2023 and in unworn condition, coming supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, master chronometer, pictogram and international warranty cards.
This Speedmaster '57 benefits from the coverage of its Omega warranty until 2028.
