Omega Speedmaster CK2998-62, CK 2998-62

We are proud to present this exceptional 1962 Vintage Omega Speedmaster, reference CK 2998-62, in good condition.

This reference CK2998 was actually the first Omega in space when worn on the wrist of Wally Schirra during the Sigma 7 mission in October 1962 (predating the moon landing in 1969) and therefore can be affectionately referred to as a 'pre-moon' Speedmaster. In celebration of this achievement Omega released a numbered re-addition of this watch called the 'First Omega in Space' which was part of the modern Speedmaster collection until production ceased in 2020, and remains a favourite among Speedmaster fans.

A beautiful and rarely available vintage Omega Speedmaster, powered by the famed Calibre. 321 which was collaborative effort between Omega and Lemania, which went on to be used by other companies such as Patek Philippe, Breguet and Vacheron Constantin. The watch features an all-original black dial with three sub-dials, with white baton hour markers and hands, stainless steel case and a black bezel that has developed a lovely patina over the years.

The hands have been replaced, we do have the original hands. It has also had a new Omega crown and chronograph pushers. There is damage to the bezels steel edge, you can see this in our images. 

Originally produced in 1962 and in a good condition, the watch comes supplied with an omega box and outer box, NATO strap and its original Omega flat link bracelet, no shoulder pieces. The watch was last serviced at Omega in February 2026.
