Since 1957 the Omega Speedmaster has transcended pure tool-watch status to become an icon for the brand. With its distinctive dial colouring and layout to its twisted lugs and engraved caseback the Speedmaster visually, has scarcely changed in the last 50 years. Although known primarily for the iconic Moonwatch, the Speedmaster collection contains a diverse range of watches, which add to the design and complications of the collection.

This Omega Speedmaster Date was produced from the mid 2000’s and is now discontinued. It comes set in the contemporary 40mm stainless steel case and has a fixed black bezel. It features a crisp black dial, which is covered by a domed sapphire crystal glass and is adorned with a small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder at 12/9/6 o’clock in contrasting silver colour along with a central chronograph hand. This model also includes the date feature (not found on the traditional Speedmaster model). It is powered by the Omega caliber 1164 automatic movement, which is protected by a solid caseback that features the embossed Hippocampus logo and it comes fitted on a matching stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.

Originally purchased in October 2008 this watch is in mint condition for its age and comes with its original Omega inner & outer boxes, leather card holder, pictogram, chronometer certificate and international warranty cards. This Speedmaster is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
