We are proud to offer this Omega Speedmaster Heritage 'Ed White' Calibre 321 for sale in unworn stickered condition.
This model reference 318.104.22.168.01.001 is a re-edition of the original "Moon Watch" which accompanied both Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin as they took their first steps on the moon. It houses the highly collectable Omega 321 Chronograph movement which was originally a collaborative effort between Omega and Lemania which went on to be used by other companies such as Patek Philippe, Breguet and Vacheron Constantin. The original was put through rigorous testing and pitted against other brands such as Rolex, Longines and Hamilton, however Omega's Speedmaster was the only watch to survive and therefore chosen to be the watch to go to the moon.
The watch is set in a 39.70mm stainless steel case and is inspired by the 3rd generation style Speedmaster which was worn during America’s first spacewalk in 1965. The bezel ring is in polished black ceramic with white enamel tachymeter scale. It features a black step dial with classic speedmaster hands, vintage OMEGA logo, in addition to small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder along with a central chronograph hand. Through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback you can see the iconic Calibre 321 in all its glory.
Originally sold in May 2022 and in unworn stickered condition, this watch is being sold as a full set with everything that it was originally sold with. This is includes a polished Speedmaster Seahorse paperweight, loupe with tachtmeter scale, NATO velcro strap, NASA velcro strap (very long to fit over a spacesuit) and an Omega strap changing tool.
