The Silver Snoopy Award has a storied history within NASA, originating in 1968 as a commendation for exceptional contributions to space mission safety and success. Inspired by the Peanuts comic strip character Snoopy, known for his imaginative space adventures, the award serves as a token of appreciation for individuals and contractors who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to ensuring the well-being and success of manned space missions. Over the years, the Silver Snoopy has become a prestigious symbol of excellence in the aerospace industry, recognizing those whose efforts have significantly enhanced the safety and reliability of space exploration endeavors.

This special edition Speedmaster, reference 310.32.42.50.02.001 was launched in 2020 to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the Silver Snoopy Award and comes in a polished/brushed 42mm stainless steel case. It features a fixed, bold blue ceramic tachymetre scale bezel and a striking silver dial with blue PVD hour markers, hands and triple sub-dials with the Snoopy 50^th anniversary logo in the 9 o’clock sub-dial. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and the watch is powered by the Omega manual wind Co-Axial calibre 3861 movement, which is protected by a NAIAD lock caseback. As well as protecting the watch, this caseback features the stunning vision of the moon, earth and a moving Snoopy in his lunar module. Lastly, It comes fitted on a matching blue canvas strap with white stitching and a classic stainless steel Omega pin-buckle.

Originally purchased in June 2022 and in Unworn condition, this Speedmaster comes with its original commemorative inner special blue & outer boxes, Omega loupe, Snoopy cleaning cloth, instruction booklet, pictogram, master chronometer and international warranty card.

This Speedmaster is covered by its Omega manufacturer warranty until 2027.
