The Omega Speedmaster stands as an iconic timepiece with a rich heritage and an enduring legacy in the realm of horology. Renowned as the "Moonwatch," the Speedmaster achieved global fame for being the first watch worn on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Beyond its extraterrestrial connection, this chronograph has consistently embodied precision, durability, and timeless design since its inception in 1957. The Speedmaster has become a symbol of innovation and adventure, captivating watch enthusiasts and space aficionados alike with its blend of cutting-edge technology and classic aesthetics. This version the 3570.50.00 was produced from 1996 until 2014 making it one of the longest running versions of the Speedmaster and a testament to the quality and longevity of the watch. It comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with the classic ‘twisted’ lugs and fitted with a black fixed tachymetre bezel. The back dial features the printed Omega logo, contrasting white minute/split second markers and luminous baton hour markers, as well as matching white sword hands with sub-dials at 3/6/9 completing the dial. These details are protected by a domed hesalite crystal and powered by the Omega calibre 1861 manual chronograph mechanism, which is protected by the classic ‘NASA qualified’ engraved caseback. Its 5atm (50m/165ft) water resistance is ensured by a polished push/pull crown, with the watch completed by a matching brushed/polished stainless steel bracelet with Omega folding clasp.

Originally sold in November 2005 and in mint condition, this Speedmaster comes with its original inner and outer box, instruction booklet, cream leatherette, original receipt, Omega service card and documents (December 2020) and international warranty card.
