Few watches carry a legacy as storied as the Omega Speedmaster. Renowned as the first watch worn on the moon and present on all six lunar missions, the “Moonwatch” has become a universal symbol of human exploration. Since 1957, it has embodied precision engineering, exceptional durability, and timeless design, a chronograph that continues to inspire both watch connoisseurs and admirers of space history. The modern Moonwatch remains faithful to the pioneering spirit that made it legendary.

This contemporary 42mm stainless steel version draws direct inspiration from the 4th-generation Speedmaster worn during the Apollo missions. Its defining feature is the white lacquered step-dial, a crisp, high-contrast reinterpretation of the classic Moonwatch aesthetic. The dial includes applied OMEGA logo and hour markers, along with Moonwatch-style hands and the traditional trio of sub-dials: small seconds, 30-minute recorder, and 12-hour recorder.

The watch is framed by a black anodised aluminium bezel with the iconic “Dot Over 90” tachymeter scale, a historic detail beloved by collectors. Both the domed sapphire crystal and the sapphire exhibition caseback offer modern durability while allowing a clear view of the movement.

Inside beats the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861, a METAS-certified manual-winding movement offering exceptional precision, antimagnetic performance, and a 50-hour power reserve. This is the latest evolution of the historic calibre that powered NASA’s Moonwatch missions.

The watch is fitted to a polished-brushed stainless steel bracelet with foldover clasp and comfort setting, balancing everyday wearability with the robust charm of the original tool-watch design.

Originally purchased in August 2024 from the Omega Boutique in London, this Moonwatch is supplied with its inner and outer boxes, operating instructions, international warranty card, master chronometer card, pictogram card and original purchase receipt.
