1969 Omega Vintage Moon Speedmaster, ST 145.022

We are proud to present this exceptional Omega Speedmaster Chronograph, dating to 1969, offered in fine condition for its age.

The Speedmaster Chronograph was introduced in 1957 and has, since its inception, been revered for its precision, durability, ergonomic design, and ease of operation. On 21 July 1969 at 02:56 GMT, the Omega Speedmaster achieved historic significance as the first watch worn on the lunar surface, firmly establishing its legacy as the iconic “Moonwatch.”

This particular example embodies the enduring design codes of the Speedmaster lineage, featuring an original black tritium dial with three recessed sub-dials and applied hour markers that have developed a subtle and even patina over time. The dial is complemented by matching hands and protected by a period-correct hesalite (plexiglass) crystal. The stainless steel case retains its classic proportions and is paired with its original metal bracelet, ensuring both authenticity and continuity of design.

Powering the watch is the Omega calibre 861 manual-wind chronograph movement, a robust and highly respected calibre utilising a cam-actuated switching system, engineered for durability while delivering precise and reliable chronograph performance.
