We are proud to present this stylish Panerai Luminor 1950 GMT watch for sale.
1993 was a key year in the history of Panerai and its most iconic watch, the Luminor. In that year, for the first time, the brand presented the Luminor and its variation the Luminor Marina to the public. Before then, Panerai watches had been available only to military forces. Known for their large cushion-shaped cases and innovative locking crown mechanism, they quickly caught the eye of watch enthusiasts and celebrities alike and have gone on to produce many variations of the classic design.
This version, the reference PAM00531 was launched in 2014 and is still available today (2022), this is the Luminor GMT. It comes set in the classic 44mm stainless steel cushion-shaped case with a smooth polished bezel and a clean black dial, featuring large 12/6 Arabic numerals with 24-hour increments around the outer ring; indicated by an extra arrowhead hand and stick hour markers, all in Luminova. There is also a date feature with magnifying lens at 3 o’clock and a contrasting silver running seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Water resistant up to 300M thanks to its iconic crown guard and protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass. The watch is powered by the P.9003 calibre automatic movement, which is visible through an exhibition caseback and fitted currently on a black Panerai rubber strap with a steel pin buckle.
Originally purchased in November 2015 and in mint condition, this Panerai comes with its original inner and outer boxes, retail bar-code, chronometer certificate, strap changing tool, additional black leather strap, previous service receipt from Mappin & Webb dated November 2021 and original warranty booklet. It is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
