1993 was a key year in the history of Panerai and its most iconic watch, the Luminor. In that year, for the first time, the brand presented the Luminor and its variation the Luminor Marina to the public. Before then, Panerai watches had been available only to military forces. Known for their large cushion-shaped cases and innovative locking crown mechanism, they quickly caught the eye of watch enthusiasts and celebrities alike and have gone on to produce many variations of the classic design.

The structure of Carbotech is designed to enhance both the aesthetics and the performance of the material. To form the plates of Carbotech from which these components are made, thin sheets of carbon fibres are compressed at a controlled temperature under high pressure together with a high-end polymer, PEEK (Polyether EtherKetone), which binds the composite material, making it even stronger and more durable. Carbotech has an uneven, matt black appearance, which varies according the cutting of the material, the result being that each watch is unique.

This version reference PAM01616 comes set in a 47mm black Carbotech case with iconic Panerai crown-protecting device and unidirectional rotating bezel to ensure extreme lightness and resistance. The dial is black with light blue luminous indicators and hands, in addition to a sub seconds dial and date aperture at 3 o'clock. The watch has a water resistance of 30atm (300m/1000ft) and is powered by the in-house automatic Calibre P.9010 which boasts a 3-day power reserve made possible by its 2 barrels. Fitted on a canvas/leather Panerai strap with matching light blue stitching.

Originally sold in March 2019 and in Mint condition, coming supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction/warranty booklet, additional leather Panerai strap and international warranty paperwork.
