We are proud to present this stylish Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days Ceramica watch for sale in immaculate condition.

In 1935 the Royal Italian Navy approached Panerai and other watch manufacturers with the request of designing a watch resistant to extreme conditions while at the same time keeping exact time for the frogman commandos of the First Submarine Group Command and offering excellent legibility even under water. The prototype submitted by Panerai in 1936 was called Radiomir, from the name of the luminescent substance used for hands and indices and passed all the tests successfully.

This version of the Radiomir, reference PAM00577 comes set in a 48mm matte black ceramica case with smooth matte bezel. Fitted with a black sandwich dial which features luminous hands, matching luminous indexes and a 'Siluro a Lenta Corsa' (Italian slow-running torpedo) logo above the 6 o'clock hour marker. It's protected by a domed sapphire crystal and fitted with a screwdown crown which allows for a water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). The watch is powered by the manually wound calibre P.3000 which is visible through a smoked exhibition caseback. Lastly, the watch comes fitted on a calf Ponte Vecchio vintage dark brown strap which is secured by a matte black trapezoidal tang buckle. 

The watch was originally sold in October 2018 and comes supplied in immaculate condition, sold with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, swing tag, 2021/2023 Panerai service documentation and its original guarantee certificate booklet.
