Highlights

We are proud to present this stylish Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days watch for sale.

In 1935, the Royal Italian Navy enlisted Panerai and other distinguished watchmakers to create a timepiece that could withstand the harshest conditions, ensuring precise timekeeping for the elite frogman commandos of the First Submarine Group Command. The challenge was to craft a watch capable of maintaining accuracy under extreme circumstances, all while providing exceptional legibility even in the depths of the ocean. In response, Panerai unveiled the prototype in 1936, aptly named the Radiomir after the luminescent substance illuminating its hands and indices. This remarkable timepiece not only met but exceeded all expectations during rigorous testing, solidifying its place in history as a triumph of precision engineering and functionality.

This version of the Radiomir, reference PAM00514, was introduced in 2013 and is is part of a limited production of 2500 watches. It comes set in a 47mm stainless steel cushion-shaped case fitted with a polished bezel and the more traditional screwdown crown based on the early models before Panerai’s patented crown-lock system was invented in 1955, ensuring the 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance. The clean black sandwich dial features cut-out luminous hour markers and Arab numeral 6/12, as well as matching hands, running seconds subdial at 9 o'clock and the classic date aperture at 3 o'clock. These details are protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and driven by the manually wound calibre P.3000 movement which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Lastly, it is completed by brown vintage styled leather strap with beige stitching and stainless steel trapezoidal pin buckle.

Originally purchased in November 2013 and in mint condition, this Radiomir comes with its original inner & outer boxes, instruction booklet and international warranty.

This was my first experience buying a pre owned watch and I was really pleased with the whole process. You read online to buy the seller not the watch and the reviews I saw for the Swiss Watch Company spoke for themselves. Any questions I had were answered clearly and I had the option to call into the shop to look at the watch first if I wished. I was happy to go ahead with buying based on the photos and information provided and as noted the previous reviews also gave me confidence moving forward. I was also really impressed with the quick shipping via special delivery. Thank you to Dee for the help through the process, I would definitely recommend Swiss Watch Company to anyone considering buying a pre owned watch.
