Today, the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar is one of the renowned Swiss watch manufacturer's most popular watches. However, what some may not know is that the annual calendar is a relatively new watch complication only dating back to 1996. Sitting just below the Grande Complications within the Patek hierarchy, the annual calendar was the first time-keeping mechanism to automatically display the month, day and date under the considerations of months with 30/31 days. It will only need adjusting once a year on the 1^st of March.

This version is the reference 5035J and comes set in a polished 37mm solid 18ct yellow gold case. The dial is a clean silver colour with applied yellow gold Roman numeral hour markers and leaf hands. There are three sub-dials containing the day, month and 24-hour indicators with a white date aperture at 6 o’clock. It is protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and is powered by the Patek calibre 315 S QA 24H automatic mechanism, which is visible through an exhibition caseback. It comes fitted on a black alligator leather strap with a matching 18ct yellow gold pin buckle.

Originally purchased in February 2008 and in mint condition for its age, coming supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, as well as its original certificate of origin.
