The Patek Philippe World Time, first introduced in 1931, revolutionized the way we track time across the globe. Designed by the renowned Swiss watchmaker Louis Cottier, it featured an innovative mechanism that allowed wearers to view the time in 24 different cities simultaneously. This groundbreaking complication, combining aesthetic elegance with practical utility, quickly became a symbol of sophistication and global connectivity. Over the years, Patek Philippe has refined and reintroduced the World Time, making it one of the most coveted timepieces among collectors and watch enthusiasts.

This iteration of the Patek Philippe World Time, reference 5230G-001 is encased in a 38.5mm polished 18ct white gold case fitted with a matching smooth polished bezel. Its charcoal grey lacquered opaline dial features applied white gold hour markers and matching hands, as well as a wide silver chapter ring featuring 24 different time zones and 24-hour indicator. These details are powered by the automatic calibre 240 HU movement, which features a micro rotor and is visible through the exhibition caseback. Lastly, it is completed by a black alligator strap with folding 18ct white gold deployment clasp. 

The watch was originally purchased in December 2018 and presented in fine condition due to some minor wear present on the bezel and case. Coming supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, leather document holder, Patek Museum leaflet, instruction booklet, collectors library leaflet and its original international warranty certificate.
