A watch for any and all conditions. Tested by explorers, mountaineers and scientists in the most challenging of conditions. The Explorer II set new standards for precision, strength, and clarity. 

In its 40th anniversary year in 2011, the Explorer II received a total makeover. The case was increased from 40mm to 42mm and manufactured with 904L steel, with enlarged hands for enhanced visibility. The most noticeable feature was the addition of the famous orange 24-hour hand ending in an arrow that stands out brightly against the white ‘Polar’ dial. It can be used to distinguish day from night at the poles or in caves, or alternatively as a second time-zone indicator thanks to the hacking-hour hand. Powered by the in-house calibre 3187 chronometer automatic mechanism with a 48 hour power reserve and fitted on the classic steel Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp.

Originally purchased in April 2013 and in fine condition due to marks on the bezel. The watch comes supplied with inner and outer Rolex box, swing tag, seal, instruction manual, international warranty card.
