Rolex Vintage Datejust 36, 1603

The Swiss Watch Co UK Ltd presents this stylish vintage Rolex Datejust 36 watch for sale.

Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This model reference 1603 is now discontinued. It is set in a polished 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with a steel engine-turned fluted bezel. The dial is a stepped, clean oyster colour and features applied silver/black baton hour markers and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by an acrylic plexi-glass with a cyclops lens for the date. The watch is fitted with a screw-down crown and powered by the Rolex calibre 1570 automatic self-winding movement. Presented on a brown leather strap with a steel Rolex pin buckle.

Originally purchased in October 1976 and in fine, unpolished collectors condition for its age, this Datejust comes supplied with its original Rolex inner box, swing tag, seal, original sales note and original Rolex guarantee paperwork.
