Rolex Vintage Datejust, 1600

Created in 1945 and still produced today, the Datejust is Rolex’s longest running collection. Although the dials, hands and case size may have changed in the last 75 years the Datejust has earned its iconic status with its timeless aesthetics and reliable functionality. The brands first automatic watch to feature the date window at 3 o’clock and combined with the waterproof Oyster case made it a watch for all occasions.

This model reference 1600 is now discontinued. It is set in a polished 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with a smooth polished bezel. The dial has a stepped edge, is a clean silver sunburst finish and features applied baton hour markers and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by an acrylic plexi-glass with a cyclops lens for the date. The watch is fitted with a screw-down crown and powered by the Rolex calibre 1560 automatic self-winding movement. Presented on the iconic stainless steel Jubilee bracelet with a folding clasp.

Originally purchased in October 1969 and in fine condition for its age, this Datejust comes with its original Rolex inner & outer boxes, warranty booklet and original warranty paperwork. This Datejust is sold with a 12-month warranty from the Swiss Watch Company.
