Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 45th Anniversary Apollo XVII, 311.30.42.30.03.001

A limited release of only 1,972 pieces, this OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch “Apollo XVII” is designed to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the final moon landing in 1972. The Apollo 17 mission was commanded by legendary astronaut Gene Cernan, who passed away in 2017. Cernan left history's last footprints on the lunar surface and this timepiece has been crafted in tribute to him.

The 42mm steel case features a polished ceramic blue bezel with its tachtymeter scale in OMEGA Ceragold. The dial is also polished blue ceramic with 18k yellow gold indexes and hour-minute 'Moon' hands that are coated in Super-LumiNova.

The Sub dial hands are 18k yellow gold or varnished white. The time of 05.34 GMT is printed in red indicating the time that Cernan made the final step on the Moon. The 9 o'clock subdial has been detailed with an image of Apollo.

Supplied as am impressive complete set, with all original instructions, certificate of authenticity, stamped international warranty and pictogram cards, with navy leather commemorative travel pouch and large navy and gold presenation case with white outer box.

Originally purchased in the UK, August 2018, this watch is protected under Omega manufacturers warranty until August 2020.
