The Air King was created by Hans Wilsdorf to honour the World War II pilots and has been in production for over 70 years. Pilots and Rolex enthusiasts have adopted the Air King and companies like Pan-Am gave them as retirement gifts to their pilots.

This reference 1142** series changed the look of the Air-King. Featuring a thicker case, the new Air-King was slightly larger than its predecessor and this reference was the one where the Air-King become officially COSC certified. This watch is set in the original 34mm steel round Oyster case with the beautiful white gold fluted bezel and twin-lock screw-down crown for basic water resistance up to 100M. The dial is a glossy black colour with applied Roman numeral and diamond dot hour markers. Fitted with a flat sapphire crystal glass and powered by an automatic calibre 3130 movement. Presented on a solid steel link Oyster bracelet with a folding link clasp.

Originally purchased in January 2010 and in mint condition, the watch comes supplied with the original inner and outer Rolex boxes, swing tag, instruction booklet, leather card holder, previous Rolex service card and international warranty card.
