Rolex Air King Unworn, 116900

We are proud to present this stylish modern Rolex Air King unworn watch for sale.

The Air King was created by Hans Wilsdorf to honour the World War II pilots and has been in production for over 70 years. Pilots and Rolex enthusiasts have adopted the Air King and companies like Pan-Am gave them as retirement gifts to their pilots.

This reference 116900 has been in production since 2016 and is featured in a larger 40mm Oystersteel case than the previous models. The black dial features applied quarter Arabic numerals of the old models, but also printed 5/10 etc minute numerals as found in the Bloodhound SSC (land speed record holder). The Air-King text was moved to the lower part of the dial but kept the original font, which is a nice touch and the whole watch is powered by the Rolex in-house calibre 3131 automatic Chronometer mechanism. It comes fitted on a matching Oyster link steel bracelet with a folding Oysterclasp.

Originally purchased in October 2018 and in unworn, partially stickered condition, this Air-King comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instructional manual, seal, swing tag, original sales receipt and international warranty card. The warranty from Rolex runs until October 2023.
