Rolex Air-King, 116900

We are proud to present this stylish Rolex Air-King for sale in mint condition, fully checked and authenticated in our accredited workshop. 

Conceived by Hans Wilsdorf to pay tribute to World War II pilots, the Rolex Air-King boasts a remarkable production history spanning over seven decades. Pilots and fervent Rolex admirers alike have embraced the Air-King, with esteemed companies such as Pan-Am selecting these timepieces as retirement gifts for their pilots. The enduring legacy of the Air-King is a testament to its timeless design and the admiration it commands within aviation circles and beyond.

This version of the Air-King, reference 116900 was released in 2016 and was produced for just 8 years before being discontinued in 2022. Coming set in a 40mm Oystersteel case with a smooth polished bezel and without crown guards unlike its successor the 126900. The clean black dial features luminous 3/6/9 Arab indexes, matching hands, as well as printed 5/10 etc minute numerals as found on the Speedometer of the Bloodhound SSC (land speed record holder). These details are protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass and driven by the automatic calibre 3131 chronometer movement. The 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by a Twinlock screwdown crown, and the watch is completed by a brushed Oyster bracelet with folding Oysterclasp. 

Originally purchased in December 2019 and in mint condition, this Air-King comes supplied with the original inner and outer Rolex boxes, swing tag, seal, instruction manual, guarantee booklet, leather card holder and international warranty card.

This Air-King benefits from the coverage of its Rolex manufacturer warranty until December 2024, however it is also sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
