Introduced in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the demands of professional racing drivers and differed from the older Rolex chronographs by having the tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel for greater dial legibility. It allowed drivers using the chronograph to measure the average speed over a given distance based on elapsed time and has since become an icon and has adorned the wrists of many famous people since, including the man who has become synonymous with the Daytona, Paul Newman.

This modern version is set in a polished 40mm steel Oyster case with a clean white dial, featuring gold/luminous applied hour markers and gold and black hands. White/gold triple chronograph sub-dials for displaying hours and minutes elapsed. The pushers are gold and screw-down as well as the Triple lock crown giving the Daytona water resistance of up to 100M. The watch is powered by the in-house calibre 4143 self-winding mechanism, giving the wearer up to 72 hours of power reserve and is fitted on the yellow Rolesor Oyster link bracelet with folding Oysterlock clasp.

Originally purchased in October 2018 and in mint condition, this Daytona comes with its original Rolex inner and outer box, swing ticket, seal, instruction booklet and international warranty card.
