We are proud to present this collectable Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch for sale.
Introduced in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the demands of professional racing drivers and differed from the older Rolex chronographs by having the tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel for greater dial legibility. It allowed drivers using the chronograph to measure the average speed over a given distance based on elapsed time and has since become an icon and has adorned the wrists of many famous people since, including the man who has become synonymous with the Daytona, Paul Newman.
This version the 116520 was produced for 11 years and is now discontinued. It is set in a polished 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with a clean black dial, featuring luminous hour markers edged in white gold and sword hands with black inlays, inner engraved rehaut (RRR) and triple sub-dials for recording up to 12 hours. The pushers and crown are both screw-down giving superior water resistance and the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal glass. Powered by a Rolex in-house calibre 4130 automatic chronograph movement and fitted on a steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp.
Originally purchased in April 2013 and in unworn stickered condition, this Daytona comes with its original inner & outer boxes, leather card holder, swing tag, seal, Guarantee manual, instruction booklet and international warranty card. This Daytona is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC.
The Daytona is desirable and collectable, whichever variation you choose. This is your chance to get your hands on a model no longer produced and remarkably in unworn stickered condition!
