We are proud to present this collectable Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch for sale.
Introduced in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the demands of professional racing drivers and differed from the older Rolex chronographs by having the tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel for greater dial legibility. It allowed drivers using the chronograph to measure the average speed over a given distance based on elapsed time and has since become an icon and has adorned the wrists of many famous people since, including the man who has become synonymous with the Daytona, Paul Newman.
This version the 116520 was produced for 11 years and is now discontinued. It is set in a polished 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with a crisp white dial, featuring luminous hour markers edged in white gold, sword hands with black & luminous inlays and triple sub-dials for recording up to 12 hours. The pushers and crown are both screw-down giving superior water resistance and the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal glass. Powered by a Rolex in-house calibre 4130 automatic chronograph movement and fitted on a steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp.
Originally purchased in the UK in 2006 and in mint condition (apart from some small marks on the bezel), this Daytona comes with its original inner & outer boxes, swing tag, seal, leather card holder, calendar card, guarantee booklet and international warranty papers.
The Daytona is desirable and collectable, whichever variation you choose. This is your chance to get your hands on a model no longer produced.
